Here to help.
I specialize in working with adults, seniors, the military community, and trauma survivors, and my areas of focus are anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, behavioral issues, chronic illness, divorce, relationship issues, women's issues, and more.

Trauma Counseling
Have you witnessed or experienced abuse, had a vehicle accident, experienced a natural disaster, been in combat or experienced any situation that has overwhelmed your ability to cope? The goal of trauma counseling is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can process these traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms of trauma, and work towards recovery and healing.

Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I am especially passionate about Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) due to its rapid symptom reduction and effectiveness. I am both trained and certified to provide this type of therapy. EMDR is a psychotherapy approach designed to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories, PTSD, and it is increasingly used to treat anxiety, depression, and many other mental health conditions.

Individual Counseling
Walking through the door is a courageous first step! I do not utilize interns in my practice. You will work with me, and I will walk with you, as you begin to tell me your story, and explore all of the factors that are impacting your life in a confidential and supportive environment, to achieve personal growth and well-being.

Couples Counseling
Is your relationship struggling, drifting or maybe there are frequent arguments? Together we will focus on identifying the challenges, the underlying emotional wounds, enhance communication, and build understanding to create a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

Grief and Bereavement
You may be experiencing a deeply profound emotional response to a loss. And while it is often associated with the death of a loved one or a beloved pet, it is not limited to these experiences. Grief can arise from any significant loss or change, impacting us in intensely personal ways. Grief can arise from estrangement, the loss of your own health or watching a loved one’s health decline. Grief can result from life transitions, unfulfilled dreams, divorce, or the loss of a home or community. The shock, disbelief, sadness, anger, fear, emptiness, or guilt can affect us for a long time. Although you may have been told you should be over it by now, there is no timeline for grief. Give me a call, let’s talk.

Spiritual Counseling
I will meet you wherever you are in your faith journey. I will focus on addressing the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of your well-being, often helping to explore your sense of purpose, values, and connection to something greater than ourselves. Techniques used in spiritual counseling may include meditation, prayer, mindfulness, and exploring spiritual texts or philosophies. Doing so can provide comfort, enhance resilience, and offer meaning during challenging times, making it particularly valuable when experiencing grief, existential crises, or chronic stress, to promote inner peace and personal growth.
"We’ll get through this together."

Telehealth
You need support, but the demands of life makes it difficult to make it to an in-office appointment. Telehealth, via phone or video, allows me to provide counseling and therapy to clients through a secure, HIPAA compliant site to accommodate your busy life. You can have a session wherever it is most comfortable for you and all you need is a smartphone, tablet or computer. Because I am licensed only in the state of Florida, you must be within the state of Florida to receive services via telehealth.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Focuses on the emotional experiences and responses of individuals by helping them understand and transform their emotional responses, improving relationship dynamics and fostering secure emotional bonds.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy
A therapeutic approach that incorporates mindfulness practices to help individuals manage and reduce psychological symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall well-being.
Mindfulness involves paying attention to the present moment in a non-judgmental and accepting manner.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) can be used to treat a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, and chronic pain.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based form of psychotherapy. It focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, helping individuals identify and change negative patterns to improve their emotional well-being and functioning.
